For the last 15 years, he has worked in the financial services industry providing tax, legal, and advanced financial planning support to financial advisors for their most significant clients. He has substantial experience and expertise in the advanced uses of various financial products in all aspects of estate, charitable, business, retirement, and executive benefits planning.
He has received his law degree from the University of Toledo College of Law, Masters in Taxation from Grand Valley State University, is a Certified Financial Planner professional and has received the Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant designations. He is a member of the Association of Advanced Life Underwriters (AALU), and has been an active participant in American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI) Federal Tax Committee. He has written articles that have been published in major tax journals and has spoken widely to various legal, accounting, financial planning, and insurance professional organizations.
